Zuzana Skvarkova (she/her) is passionate in autism advocacy and disability justice. Zuzana recently graduated with a B.S. in Innovation in Society from Arizona State University summa cum laude and was awarded "Outstanding Student" on behalf of the College of Global Futures. During this time, she was also the president of the Women in STEM organization at ASU, the Director of Service for the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, and the President/Founder of the U.S. nations first Disabled in STEM Student Association. Zuzana has a passion for researching and community engagement at the intersection of health equity, innovation, and disability rights.
Diagnosed with autism as a young adult, Zuzana has spoken at several world-renowned conferences, such as TEDx, and most recently spoke at Stanford Medical Schools Neurodiversity Project, sharing the story of her path to an autism diagnosis amidst years of misdiagnosed psychiatric evaluations and treatment methods.
She uses her experiences to implore mental health professionals and autism researchers to increase the visibility and inclusion of women and other historically excluded identities in the field of autism research and diagnostic assessment.
Zuzana also identifies as a writer, a runner, a researcher, and an avid learner.
